Laptops without Operating Systems
Today morning when I was out for some work, I was handed out a pamphlet for Toshiba laptops. Initially I didn’t go through the same.
But by chance when I glanced through it, to my surprise I found that Toshiba was giving something which brought a smile on my face.
There were some laptop model which came with no Operating System.
This No Operating System thing is what made me happy. At-last here was a manufacturer who was proving laptops without the burden of an OS.
Being a FOSS supporter this is indeed good news for me since I would have eventually removed the proprietary Operating System (Windows XP or Windows 7 as is bundled) with Ubuntu (my favourite).
The pamphlet also mentioned the prices of some. The prices are of course exclusive of taxes.
